Our commitment to health, safety and well-being at work

We care about the health of all our employees. We have developed measures to promote health, safety and well-being at work.

Our site personnel are supported by a health and safety prevention program which is applied on all our construction sites and which is updated on a regular basis by our health and safety agents. This program allows our site personnel to maintain their training applied to the construction industry (use of lifting platforms, forklifts, first aid, confined spaces, contamination and others). Working time is allocated for the upgrades of each of these trainings.

Our office staff can count on our continuing training program to meet the criteria of professional orders, keep up to date with new IT and take advantage of seminars on new developments in the construction field. We have also developed a job training plan and implemented a mentoring program for new employees.

Many social activities are organized on a regular basis to provide opportunities for our employees to develop bonds and be happy in their work environment. A range of sports subscriptions and entrance fees are made available to our employees to enable them to practice physical activities while socializing.

We are proud of our corporate culture based on principles that value cultural diversity.

Our diversity policy

BTL has adopted a diversity policy which reflects its commitment to the creation of a work environment where individual differences and contributions of all employees are recognized and valued. This policy complies with the Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms.

BTL has always learned from diverse cutural minorities. It currently has among its members of the administration and its employees, people from no less than ten different nationalities.

BTL has also adopted a policy seeking to reach parity. The management, including its administrative personnel, is almost equal, being made up of slightly more women than men.

We are committed to promoting environmentally responsible business practices in all our activities.

Our commitment to sustainability

As a responsible corporate citizen, we are committed to pursuing business practices that best meet the needs of our clients and employees without compromising the needs of future generations. We have consequently developed tools to enable us to have a long-term vision taking into account the environment, social needs and our business activities.

We are proud of our corporate culture based on principles that value health and quality of life of our employees, equity, responsible consumption and waste management on our construction sites.

Our responsible management strategies

Improve and maintain our knowledge and our employees’ ones on the quality of the environment

Develop policies and tools to take concrete actions to protect the environment in our administrative offices and on our construction sites

Encourage behavioral changes for employees and suppliers and subcontractors

Encourage the reduction and reuse of materials recovered on construction sites

Educate employees, suppliers and subcontractors to reduce the amount of waste

Promote local purchases

Promote the quality of life of our employees by establishing healthy lifestyles

We have taken steps to reduce residual materials on our construction sites to protect the environment for future generations.

Our residual materials management policy

Residual materials management is a core issue in our policies in order to protect the environment for future generations.

We have taken steps and developed tools that are applied to each construction project when the client makes available the required space for waste management, allowing our site personnel to sort residual materials: paper and cardboard, recyclable metals, gypsum and recyclable acoustic tiles (when the quantity allows), wood and compostable materials, as well as non-recyclable waste.

We work with several waste recovery and recycling companies on all our construction sites to reduce the volume of waste sent to landfills.
